First Steps
Ballet I

Children’s
Programs
First Steps (ages
3-4)
Through the use of music and props very young children are
taught to participate in group activity and direct their imagination.
Creative Movement
(ages 5-6)
Begin the development of musical and spatial imagery with
yogic stretching and various choreographic patterns.
Pre-Ballet (ages 7-8)
Basic positions of the feet and arms, yogic stretching, and
ballet mime are taught.
Ballet Preparatory
(9-10)
Enables the student to begin study of classical dance with
a considerable head start. Positions of arms, legs and head
are taught with rudimentary barre and center work . Beginning
character dance is also presented.
Ballet I and up
Trained in the Russian Method (Vaganova), students are offered
a thorough program stressing technique and style. Students
in Ballet I and up have pointe work and character dance included
in their curriculum.
